We decided to base our main servers in Singapore even though cost in Singapore is about 3-5 times higher than in USA. Reason was you never know when a server is going to fail, basing in USA, downtimes would be significant even though we have very good friends/administrators down there to help us.
This is basically the first time I am handling a server. Really never expect it to be same as a normal PC just that we are using rack mounted servers, the dimensions are in U, other than that everything is the same.
We first took a 10 U space from a Singapore datacenter. This is how we really started to be a web hosting company with own facilities. Singapore Web Hosting
